How CPA Congress works
CPA Congress 2026 is a multi-day, interactive experience delivering high-quality content through a mix of in-person and virtual keynotes, global panels and OnDemand sessions.
The event begins with three days in Melbourne, followed by a live virtual day and seven weeks of OnDemand content. It then continues with one-day experiences in Hong Kong (29 October) and Kuala Lumpur (5 November).
We expect more than 800 in-person delegates in Melbourne, over 300 in each of Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur, and more than 8,000 participants joining virtually.
In-person ticket holders can also add virtual access at a discounted rate.Visit our website for ticket prices and registration details. Tickets include access to in-person sessions at your chosen location, with welcome receptions, business lunches, and dinners varying by location. Optional add-ons, like masterclasses, may be available in selected locations.
Virtual tickets provide access to the online program, which runs until Friday 11 December 2026.
Under CPA Australia’s event terms and conditions, full refunds are available if cancelled at least five (5) working days before your event. You can make changes via your confirmation email. You can view our full event terms and conditions here or contact CPA Australia for assistance.

Tickets are available to all CPA Australia members, professionals across the wider accounting and finance community, business leaders from all industries, and members of the public globally.
In-person attendees can connect by downloading the conference app and activating their profile, as well as by attending sessions, masterclasses, networking receptions and dinners.
Virtual attendees can connect one-on-one through the platform’s chat feature, and engage via session comments, polls, surveys and feedback tools.There will be a Q and A function for some, if not most, of the keynote and concurrent sessions, where you will be able to ask the speaker questions vetted via a moderator/MC. Other features such as polling, surveys and comments will also be activated where appropriate.
Melbourne in-person: 12 CPD hours plus the optional 3 CPD hours for attending a masterclass
Hong Kong in-person: 8 CPD hours
Kuala Lumpur in-person: 8 CPD hoursVirtual and OnDemand: 20+ CPD hours overall.
Virtual CPD hours will be determined based on your actual viewing time, not based on the number of sessions watched in part or in full. Viewing can be live or recorded, on the day, or post-Congress until Friday 11 December 2026.
You are welcome to re-watch sessions, however a time cap for that session will apply, equivalent to that session's duration.
Combo pass – In-person + Virtual: The set number of in-person CPD hours will be allocated for the in-person portion. Then, the virtual hours viewed will be added to the allocation.
Viewing recorded in-person sessions during the OnDemand period will not be counted again in the final tally.
NOTE: For CPA members, CPD hours will be updated automatically within the CPD Diary, two weeks after the end of the on-demand period. Non-members are requested to manually track their hours.
About attending the virtual experience
You will receive a reminder email 24 to 48 hours before the event with login and access details. The event will be delivered through a virtual event platform.
Within 1-2 weeks of the event, registered attendees will be able to follow these steps. NOTE: Prior to the app release, the below will not work.

The virtual experience can be accessed from a laptop, computer (Mac or PC) or tablet/mobile (Android or iOS).
We recommend using Chrome or Firefox, as they are the most stable and consistent browsers for accessing this virtual environment.
Yes, you will be required to use the same email with which you registered to log in to the event.
Yes, you can log in and out when the conference is live or post-conference for 7 weeks.
Not all live in-person sessions will be recorded. We will share what we can from all locations where possible. What we can share will be added on the virtual on-demand program, which ends on Friday 11 December 2026. Recorded sessions can be viewed at any time, paused and skipped ahead.
We are pleased to provide you with access to the virtual environment for seven weeks post Melbourne Congress. This means you can watch on-demand content until Friday 11 December 2026.
Virtual live keynote sessions will be recorded and made available for viewing within 24 hours of delivery, with a small number taking up to five business days. Please note that some sessions may be removed in accordance with speaker agreements; availability will be indicated where applicable.
Not all live, in-person keynote sessions will be recorded. Those that are recorded will be made available for viewing as soon as possible following the conclusion of the session. As with virtual sessions, some recordings may be removed in accordance with speaker agreements, and availability will be noted where applicable.
OnDemand tickets are available at standard rates for two (2) weeks after the end of the Melbourne Congress, until Thursday 5 November 2026, providing you with at least five (5) weeks to view available sessions.
Post-Congress, you may continue to explore the environment, chat with attending participants and access resources. However, some features may be disabled.
About attending the in-person Congress experiences
Delegates must arrange their own travel to and from CPA Congress cities. They are accessible by land or by air.

Masterclasses & Welcome Reception - Tuesday 20 October
Registrations and lunch will commence at 12 noon. Masterclasses will start at 12.45pm and conclude at 4.30pm
Delegates attending the welcome reception should arrive from 4.30pm.
