Member Pathway Agreement
CPA Australia has a Member Pathway Agreement (MPA) with the Institut Akuntan Publik Indonesia (IAPI), offering a clear path to Associate CPA membership.
Follow these steps to understand the pathway for current IAPI members:
Step 1: Determine your eligibility
You may be eligible for CPA Australia membership if you meet the following criteria:
- You are a current member of good standing with IAPI, not under investigation for professional conduct infringements.
- You have successfully completed the IAPI Professional Qualification exams (from 2021 onwards) and fulfilled the IAPI Practical Work Experience requirements, as set and assessed by IAPI.
- You hold a university degree recognised by CPA Australia as comparable to an Australian Bachelor degree level, to be verified during your application.
- You did not gain IAPI membership through another mutual recognition agreement, similar pathway agreements, or any special member pathway.
Step 2: Apply
Complete our online application, submitting all required documentation and fees. Ensure you nominate IAPI as your professional body during the application process.
Step 3: Verification and outcome
We will verify your submitted information and notify you of your assessment outcome via email. Current application response times are available on our How To Apply page.
Step 4: Advance to CPA status
Upon becoming an Associate member of CPA Australia through the MPA, you must successfully complete the following CPA Program subjects:
Once completed, you will advance to CPA status, receive a CPA certificate, and be authorised to use the letters CPA after your name.
