This module focuses on the three main IFRS accounting standards dealing with specific disclosures required in the notes to the financial statements, namely:
- IFRS 16 Leases
- IAS 19 Employee Benefits
- IAS 37 Provisions, Contingent Liabilities and Contingent Assets.

- Understand the accounting treatment for short-term and long-term employee benefits, including determination of an appropriate discount rate to be used to discount long-term employee benefits.
- Understand the disclosures required as per IAS 19.
- Understand the difference between a provision, contingent liability and contingent asset, including the recognition criteria.
- Identify the disclosures required for provisions, contingent liabilities and contingent assets as per IAS 37.
- Understand the disclosures required for lessees in the financial statements as per IFRS 16.
