Overview
This webinar is a refresher and lively discussion of the origins of the standards regarding the Non-compliance with Laws and Regulations (NOCLAR). These standards apply to both members in business and those in practice, with contextual differences. They provide guidance to members in assessing the implications of matters where adhering to the fundamental principles of integrity and professional behaviour may be threatened and the possible courses of action.
The standards were incorporated into APES 110 Code of Ethics over 7 years ago following their introduction into the International Code of Ethics by IESBA 8 years ago. IESBA is now undertaking a global post-implementation review, so a reminder and reflection on this widely applicable standard is timely.
