On 26 May 2022, the Disciplinary Tribunal found that the Member breached CPA Australia’s Article 39(a)(ii)(F) of the14 May 2019 Constitution.
The Member attended the Disciplinary Tribunal hearing and denied the complaint.
The Disciplinary Tribunal found the Complaint sustained and imposed the following penalties:
- forfeiture of membership and not eligible for readmission for a period of two years
- membership status to be lowered from FCPA to CPA
- conditions were imposed upon re-admission
- Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand to be advised of the outcome of the hearing.
The Member was ordered to pay CPA Australia’s costs of $3,154.54.
The Member appealed the decision of the Disciplinary Tribunal.
