If you’ve completed a membership application and have received your foundation outcome, you can enrol in your foundation exam subjects online, at any time.
How to schedule your exam
Once you have enrolled, you can schedule your exam online.
Foundation exams are offered across a variety of locations, dates and times. The availability of exam sessions may be limited in some regions.
When you schedule your exam, you’ll be shown a selection of exam venues closest to your residential address. If you plan to sit your exam in a different location, you can search for an alternative exam venue – view all exam venues (XLS) in the Asia-Pacific.
After scheduling your exam, you will receive an email from Pearson VUE confirming your exam appointment. The email also includes information about exam regulations, and administrative procedures, including check-in requirements, testing procedures and the structure of the exams.

Exam scheduling deadline
You have up to 12 months from the date of your enrolment to schedule and sit your exam. The 12-month exam deadline is calculated as being 365 days from your enrolment.
For enrolments occurring over a leap year, your exam deadline will pass two days prior to your enrolment anniversary.
Make a note of the key dates to ensure you schedule and sit your exam within 12 months of your enrolment.
Rescheduling your exam
If you need to reschedule your exam, you can do so:
- up to 72 hours before your exam – no fee applies
- between 72 to 24 hours before your exam – a fee applies.
You cannot reschedule your exam within 24 hours of your exam appointment.
No refunds will be issued if you do not attend your scheduled exam appointment.
Occasionally, due to unforeseen events, such as, but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather events, power outages, site closures or connectivity issues, changes to your scheduled exam appointment may be required. Your exam may need to be rescheduled to another day, time or location.
In the unlikely event that your exam needs to be cancelled or rescheduled, you will be contacted via phone or email. If we are unable to contact you prior to your exam appointment, we will work to reschedule your exam appointments, which you can accept or change to suit your requirements via My CPA Program.
