CPA Week 2026 brought together 477 accounting and finance professionals in Perth for two days of practical insight, fresh perspectives, and meaningful connection. Through keynotes, masterclasses and interactive sessions, attendees explored forces reshaping the profession, from economic shifts and regulation to AI and evolving workplace practices. The program supported peer connection and knowledge sharing, leaving participants with practical tools, clearer direction, and greater confidence to navigate change.

The 2026 Profit for Purpose Conference returned in person from 20–22 April at Rydges Melbourne, bringing together more than 150 members and sector professionals to connect and share ideas. Featuring 38 speakers, including 14 CPA Australia members, the program explored key issues shaping the sector, including financial sustainability, AI and social impact, reinforcing the value of connection, and practical insight across the community.

The newly improved My Capability Plan gives members a quick, personalised way to understand their strengths and development needs. In 10–15 minutes, members receive tailored insights, learning recommendations, and a clear view of capability gaps. This helps them to plan growth confidently and have more constructive development conversations with managers or mentors.

Building on the success of our new approach to micro-credentials, allowing members to select specific modules for immediate skill needs, we are continuing to release learning based on up-to-date skills requirements, like Effective Decision-Making in Finance, Productivity and Efficiency in Finance, and AI Strategy and Leadership micro-credentials.

We deliver high‑impact, topical learning through location and sector-focused content, with an ever-expanding modular micro‑credential course catalogue and new partner offers. This is supported by targeted sales and special offers throughout the year, including our 140th anniversary and tax time sales, with a continued focus on the most in-demand skill areas for our members.

There are different pathways that CPAs and FCPAs can take to manage their own practice. We offer tailored tools for meeting professional and ethical obligations, and provide a pre-check service before you’re officially established, to help set you up for success.

As part of their work connecting members across the globe, IFAC publishes a range of tools and resources via their Knowledge Gateway. CPA Australia is a founding member of IFAC, and we also contribute content to their regularly updated resource portal where you can learn more about the latest trends emerging in accounting and finance.

New partnerships with Melbourne Business School and Sydney Executive Plus at The University of Sydney Business School give members exclusive access to high quality learning, from leadership development to job-ready AI capability. These tailored programs connect members with world-class academic expertise, helping strengthen their skills, confidence and career progression.
