Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Impact on CPA Australia Exams, Events and Offices

Like many organisations globally, COVID-19 has had an impact on CPA Australia as we adhere to advice from local governments and authorities. With the health of our members and employees as a priority, we’ve made changes to our face-to-face events, exams and access to our offices. Stay up-to-date with the latest information from CPA Australia below.

CPA Program Exams

The world might have changed, but we're changing with it. This is why we're now pleased to offer our candidates the choice of two exam options* in Semester 2 2020.

Depending on preferences and personal circumstances, candidates may choose between:

A Computer-Based Exam in a Test Centre

The majority of our test centres are open across the globe, meaning computer-based exams in test centres will be available for Semester 2. Rigorous measures will be taken within all test centres to ensure the health and safety of members.

or

A supervised Online Exam

Sitting an online exam from the comfort of your home or office is very convenient for many members. That's why we're pleased to now offer a supervised online exam, known as an ‘online-proctored’ exam, which enables our candidates to sit their exam at a location of their choosing (that meets a set of requirements).

In addition, Foundation Exams are also being delivered in both online-proctored and test-centre environments.

*Candidates sitting an exam in Mainland China, Japan, Slovenia and South Korea are advised that exams will be delivered exclusively in test-centres.

Professional Development and Events

We have previously advised that we were cancelling all face-to-face events until the end of May 2020. In line with the ongoing advice from government and health authorities, CPA Australia has decided to extend the cancellation of face-to-face Professional Development Workshops in Victoria, Australia until 31 December 2020.

Members who have registered to attend a specific event will be notified separately about that event and, in the case of paid events, will be able to receive a full-refund. As we have been doing, we'll continue to increase our online offer to members while these restrictions remain in place. A decision about events scheduled after 31 December 2020 in Victoria, Australia will be made in light of circumstances as they develop and will be communicated closer to the time.

Decisions about the resumption of face-to-face Professional Development Workshops in other states and territories in Australia, and countries and regions outside Australia, will be made in accordance with the relevant government regulations and health advice in the respective regions, and will be communicated to members. CPA Australia will at all times prioritise the health and safety of members and employees.
