Herwan Ng FCPA (Aust.) – President
Finance Director and CFO, PT Rio Tinto Indonesia
Herwan has 23 years combined experience in finance, corporate governance and strategy. He is Finance Director and CFO of Rio Tinto Indonesia, a subsidiary of Rio Tinto, the world’s second-largest mining company. Prior to that, he spent 10 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Indonesia and Netherlands leading teams in a wide variety of engagements including financial assurance services, acquisition advisory services and due diligence reviews. His works have brought him to North America, Europe, Australia and Asia.
He has been serving as the President for the Advisory Committee of CPA Australia – Indonesia Representative Office since 2016. Previously he served as the President of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants Australia – Indonesia Branch from 2009 to 2010 and continued to support the organization as the member of the Advisory Committee from 2010 to 2016. He was also a member of Steering Committee for Professional Risk Managers’ International Association Indonesia Chapter in 2010 and a member of IFRS Implementation Team for Institute of Indonesia Chartered Accountants from 2009 to 2012.
Herwan holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Tarumanagara University and a master's degree in business administration from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot Watt University. He has also completed various professional certification programs in accounting, auditing, treasury, project management and risk management.
Hendry Tan CPA (Aust.)
Finance Director, PT Kasongan Bumi Kencana (Gajah Tunggal Group)
Hendry has over 26 years of combined experience in accounting, finance, treasury, tax, IT, risk management and corporate finance. He is currently the Finance Director of Kasongan Bumi Kencana (Gajah Tunggal Group), where he oversees all strategic financial, accounting, tax, IT and corporate finance functions of mining cluster in Indonesia.
Prior to that, Hendry spent several years with Golden Energy Mines, Tbk (Sinarmas Group) that successfully divested its shares through IPO process in Indonesia capital market (Bursa Efek Indonesia) and had extensive responsibility in acquisition process of coal and mineral concessions in Indonesia as well as managing joint operation and joint venture with local and overseas partner in coal mining business for more than 10 years. He is also the member of financial committee for Indonesian Mining Association (IMA).
Hendry holds Bachelor of Accountancy from Widyatama University – Bandung and Master of Business Administration from Royal Roads University Canada as well as Master of Management from IPMI International Business School – Jakarta. In addition to CPA (Australia), he is also a qualified professional accountant as Chartered Accountant (Indonesia), Certified Public Accountant (Indonesia), Certified Professional Management Accountant (Indonesia), ASEAN Chartered Professional Accountant (ACPA), Certified Management Accountant (Australia), Certified International Business Analyst (Australia) and Certified Business Valuer (Australia).
Andri Yusetia CPA (Aust.)
Senior Manager Business Development, BDO Indonesia
Andri is a seasoned finance and commercial professional with a strong focus on commercial acumen and business development. Andri has a proven track record in business development, financial management, contract management and accomplishments in Australia and Indonesia spanning 14 years, having lived and worked in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and Jakarta. Based in Indonesia, he is pursuing business development career in BDO Indonesia by utilizing his finance and commercial experiences. Previously he was a country financial controller at PT Crown Worldwide Indonesia, part of the Crown Worldwide Group. Prior to this appointment, Andri was a Project Finance Manager for Australia Post and was actively manage the budget of Future Ready asset enhancement project StarTrack House, Australia Post NSW Headquarters.
Prior to joining Australia Post, Andri was a Senior Project Accountant at WorleyParsons Limited, a large global provider of project delivery and consulting services to the resources and energy sectors. During his tenure at WorleyParsons, he focused on delivering large projects of oil & gas top-tier 1 clients such as ExxonMobil, Origin Energy and Mobil Oil Australia.
While working with project management service providers in resouces and energy, he has acquired a clear understanding of project management skills to build and maintain strong relationship with Project Managers and multiple clients. Previous contributions include his role as a Project Business Analyst of Fluor Australia, recruited to lead the financial control and business services of Kazakhstan Project.
Andri started his career as a Superannuation Administrator at AMP Limited and moved to an Assistant Invesment Manager at Royal Automobile Club of Western Australia.
Andri holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Information System and Master of Accounting from Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Western Australia.
Dr Hendang Tanusdjaja CPA (Aust.)
Managing Partner, Darmawan Hendang Kaslim & Rekan
Hendang is the Managing Partner of Darmawan Hendang Kaslim & Rekan, the Indonesian member of AGN International Ltd, an international accounting and consulting organization. He has over 15 years experiences as a managing partner of several accounting and consulting firms providing assurance and consulting services. Hendang is currently a member of audit committee of a multinational public company, academic lecturer at some universities, Board member of the Indonesian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (IAPI), instructor and trainer of PSAK-IFRS seminars conducted by professional Accountants Association and Corporation. Prior to that Hendang was a member of IAPI's CPA certification board committee and the implementation assistance of professional standards, IFRS implementation team of the Institute of Indonesia Chartered Accountants (IAI).
Hendang holds a doctoral of Accountancy, master of management and bachelor degrees from the University of Indonesia. He is also a holder of Indonesian Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Professional Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant (CA) certifications, and Australian Certified Practicing Accountant certification.
Chief Financial Officer, PT Panen Lestari Basuki
Kenneth Cheng is currently the CFO with PT Panen Lestari Basuki which is undertaking a pipeline of real estate projects with substantial participation from GIC Real Estate Singapore and PT Indonesia Properti Prima Tbk. Prior to that, he spent few years in a similar role in the property division of Gunung Sewu Kencana Group.
He spent few years with PricewaterhouseCoopers in assurance services before moving on in 2001 to serve as Accountant with the Resorts World group with operational roles in South East Asia countries.
From 2004, he was the Group Financial Controller with a Taipe-based conglomerate, CT&D Group, developer of a 750 ha Saigon South township in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. In 2011, he joined Capitaland as the Country Financial Controller for Vietnam, looking after its portfolio of residential and mixed-use projects in the country.
Kenneth holds a Bachelor in Accountancy from University Putra Malaysia and earned the Executive MSc (Finance) from Baruch College, City University of New York. He is also a member of CPA Australia and completed the Executive Certificate in Real Estate Finance awarded by the National University of Singapore.
James Loh CPA (Aust.)
Partner, KPMG Indonesia
James career spans 20 years in risk, commercial finance, internal audit and corporate governance. James is a partner at KPMG and leads the Financial Risk Management (FRM) and Financial Management (FM) practices in Indonesia. He has in the past, held the roles of CFO and regional CFO in fund management and large corporations.
As the FRM lead, he helps financial services firms use risk as a strategic and commercial platform for growth, while reassuring their stakeholders including regulators and the wider capital markets that their approach to risk management is robust and systemic. FRM covers credit, market, liquidity, operational and regulatory risk areas. As the FM lead, James helps clients improve their Finance functions in the core areas of Effective Decision Support, Finance Strategy and Transformation, Efficient Finance Operations and Finance Shared Services and Outsourcing.
James holds Bachelor of Commerce (Double Major – Accounting and Finance) from the University of Western Australia, Masters of Business Administration from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management. He also served as the Vice President - Institute of Internal Auditors.
Vinayak Sasitharan CPA (Aust.)
Finance and IT Director, Greater Indonesia at Campbell Arnott’s
Vinayak has lived in Sydney, Australia where he was a scholarship holder in Accounting and Finance at UNSW. After University, Vinayak worked in Investment Banking before moving to Campbell Arnotts where he has held multiple roles across Supply Chain and Commercial Finance. Recently over the past year, he has moved to Indonesia to take up a CFO role, managing the Greater Indonesia Business that comprises of Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia.
