CPA Australia aims to get its members their certificates and/or pins as soon as possible. In Oceania locations, your certificates will be mailed to your mailing address 6-8 weeks after you advance to CPA and FCPA and milestone pins in the first quarter of every year. International locations differ and certificates and/or pins may be mailed to you directly or to your closest office location.  If you are unsure or have any queries regarding your certificate and/or pin please contact us. 

If you have received your certificate and pin in the mail, you do not need to bring it with you to the event. If you have received your member milestone pin or have one, we encourage you to wear it to the event. 

Member Recognition ceremonies are a special event where advancing members, members who have received an academic award or achieved a membership milestone are invited to attend with their friends and family to celebrate their achievements alongside the CPA community. Each event differs slightly. However, at the event you will be called to the stage to have your achievement acknowledged There will then be an opportunity to network and refreshments will be served.

You will be invited a Member Recognition Ceremony closest to you based on your residential address that you have given CPA Australia. The invitation will be emailed to you 4 weeks prior to the event. Most locations only have a Member Recognition Ceremony annually, so your invite may come some months after you advance or achieve your membership milestone. The CPA Australia website is the best place to find up to date ceremony information. 

Yes, you can. If there is another location that suits you better, you are more than welcome to attend that. This includes ceremonies in other countries. You will need to contact us to arrange an invitation to this event. 

If you miss your Member Recognition Ceremony or are unable to attend, you are more than welcome to attend the next one. You will need to contact us to arrange an invitation to another event.

The event time differs depending on each event. Your event invitation will outline the event time and we will also keep the website updated with approximate event times.

Member Recognition ceremonies are for celebrating with friends, family and peers. The number of guests available to attend your ceremony with you differs depending on the location and venue capacities. Your event invitation will outline your guest allowances. 

Most Member Recognition Ceremonies will have a professional photographer there to capture the special event and a photograph of you on stage. These will be emailed to you post event for you to download free of cost. The photographs are typically supplied 2-5 days post event but may be delayed. If you do not receive the photos within 7 days of the event, please contact us. 

The dress code for all Member Recognition ceremonies is smart-casual business attire. This includes guests. Recipients and guests are also welcome to wear culturally appropriate traditional dress.

All ceremonies will include a networking component where food and light refreshments are provided. The food provided will depend on the ceremony location. Your event invitation will the catering provided at the event.
