How long is your application valid for?
Your application with CPA Australia is valid for two years from the date your application was received.
Updating, appealing or changing your ANZSCO code
You can change the ANZSCO code for your application online.
Update your assessment
If you have completed additional study or another English test and would like it considered as part of your assessment and your application is still valid, then you can apply for an update to your skills assessment. You'll need to pay a fee to update your assessment.
Appeal your assessment
If you have received a skills assessment from CPA Australia that you feel is inaccurate, you can appeal the decision. Appeals will use the documents you submitted with your application.
If you wish to submit new documents for your application, then this will be an update for your application, not an appeal.
If you're unsatisfied with the outcome of your Appeal, you can contact the Administrative Appeals Tribunal or the Commonwealth Ombudsman to see if the assessment outcome qualifies for an independent review.
Request a new ANZSCO code
You can change the ANZSCO code for your skills assessment after your application is submitted. You'll need to pay a fee to update your assessment.
If your assessment indicates further studies are required, you have two options:
- Complete additional studies via the CPA Program Foundation exams
- Complete additional studies via accredited courses offered by other higher education providers
The CPA Foundation exams are a flexible, self-paced study program. You can enrol any time and choose when to sit your exam within 12 months of enrolment.
If you would like to complete outstanding competency areas through the CPA Program's Foundation exams, complete the online form below. A complimentary update to your skills assessment is available when choosing this option.
