CPA Australia Grants
Women in Finance and Economics Professional Development Grant
CPA Australia received federal grant funding in 2022 to support female CPA Australia members wanting to enter, re-enter and/or achieve leadership roles across financial services. The grant was funded by the Financial Planning Association of Australia with support from the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet’s Office for Women. Eleven grant recipients received complimentary registrations to multiple CPA Australia professional development events in 2022, including events such as the Public Practice Virtual Conference and CPA Virtual Congress.CPA Australia Board awards and honours
Life Membership
The Board of Directors may confer Life Membership upon a member of CPA Australia under Article 6(e) of the Constitution.
Life Membership recognises achievement and service of the highest degree by a member of CPA Australia. This is the highest honour the Board of Directors can bestow upon a member.
Honorary Membership
The Board of Directors may confer Honorary Membership upon a person under Article 6(d) of the Constitution.
Honorary Membership recognises achievement or service of a non-member through admission to membership of CPA Australia on the Honorary Membership List with the status of FCPA (Honorary).
The purpose of Honorary Membership is to admit prominent people to CPA Australia and to recognise the achievement of, or contribution to CPA Australia of such individuals.
Lifetime Achievement Award
The Lifetime Achievement Award is CPA Australia's most prestigious award. The Board of Directors grant this award to recognise people who have made a very significant or distinguished service of a high degree to CPA Australia or the accounting profession over an extended period.
The Lifetime Achievement Award can only be granted once to a member. The Board of Directors will grant no more than three Lifetime Achievement Awards each year.
This award is equivalent to the Meritorious Service Award previously granted by the Board. Past recipients of the Meritorious Service Award are entitled to use the title 'Lifetime Achievement Award' when referencing their award.
Board of Directors Award for Outstanding Service
CPA Australia Board of Directors Award for Outstanding Service recognises outstanding service and contribution over and above what might reasonably be expected through a voluntary contribution. People who have provided significant service to CPA Australia or the accounting profession in a particular field may be recognised by the Board granting this award.
This award is equivalent to the President's Award previously granted by the Board. Past recipients of the President's Award granted by the Board are entitled to use the title 'Board of Directors Award for Outstanding Service' when referencing their award.

Divisional President's Award for Excellence
The Divisional President's Award for Excellence recognises a contribution over and above what might reasonably be expected through a voluntary contribution. Members and non-members who have provided significant service to CPA Australia in a particular field may be recognised with this award.
Divisional President’s Awards for Excellence may be awarded by the Presidents of divisions or staffed branches.
There are four categories of Divisional President's Awards for Excellence:
- President's Award for Excellence – Distinguished Service
Recognises a member who has served across various levels of the volunteer hierarchy, and over time has initiated, supported and or implemented legacy contributions to CPA Australia.
- President's Award for Excellence – Leadership
Recognises a member who has provided voluntary leadership of a group, significant initiatives or activities that have enhanced CPA Australia and contributed to opportunities and services for members.
- President's Award for Excellence – Emerging Leader
Recognises nominators from ASA members, early career CPAs and non-members who are emerging in their field or career, who throughout their association with CPA Australia have demonstrated significant or high-quality leadership or service to CPA Australia as a result of their voluntary activities.
- President's Award for Excellence – Achievement in Academia
Recognises achievement in teaching, learning and research, in tertiary and other research and learning institutions over an extended period of time."
