Stephen has been a partner in a leading suburban accounting practice since 1993. He advises on a broad range of areas impacting on small and medium businesses, such as business structures, accounting, management reporting, wealth creation and tax – including income tax, capital gains tax, taxation of trusts, companies and partnerships, SMSF, Fringe Benefits Tax and GST. Stephen has been presenting technical tax topics for CPA Australia for the past 16 years.

Tom is a global expert in audit and risk having been the Global Head of Internal Audit for Rio Tinto. He specialises in the development of leading audit and risk management functions and the prevention and detection of corruption and fraud. He is a regular presenter at CPA Congress and conferences and has undertaken corporate learning solutions training for a range of our major corporate clients.

Danette Fenton-Menzies

Danette Fenton-Menzies CPA

Danette is a Chartered Accountant and CPA, a certified coach, holds a Bachelor of Economics, MBA and Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment, is a graduate of the Sydney Leadership program and was a finalist in the ACT Telstra Business Women’s Award (Westpac Group Business Owner). Danette’s career has included working for several of the Big Four Accounting firms as well as the Department of Finance, National Australia Ltd., AusAID and the National Transmission Agency. Danette has a passion to help others learn new things and a unique ability to break down complex topics.
Grahame Gerstenberg

Grahame Gerstenberg

Grahame is co-founder and Managing Director of Magical Learning, an education consultancy and training company. An early interest in the written word blossomed into the exploration of creative writing and spawned a passion for helping others boost their influence and effectiveness through writing. Grahame has delivered writing skills programs for over a decade and works with leading government agencies as well as private sector and non-profit organisations.
Stephen Marsden

Stephen Marsden

Stephen works as a full-time lecturer in the School of Accountancy at the Queensland University of Technology and for CPA Australia, facilitating workshops and writing course materials for the CPA Program in the financial accounting and reporting, advanced taxation, and ethics and governance modules. He is also the author of several of CPA Australia course manuals. Stephen specialises in the areas of introductory accounting, IFRS, financial accounting, company accounting, management accounting, financial accounting theory, accountancy capstone, taxation law and company law.
Marcus Small

Marcus Small

Marcus holds a Master’s Degree in Finance from ANU and has worked in Big Four Accounting firms, investment banking and industry in Australia and overseas. He is a specialist in financial modelling and a strong VBA developer. Marcus is a regular contributor and moderates both Ozgrid and Chandoo Excel forums. Both sites have millions of visitors each month searching for assistance with their Excel problems.
Liam Bastick

Liam Bastick

Liam has more than 25 years’ experience in financial model development / auditing, valuations, M&A, strategy, training and consultancy. He has headed Ernst & Young’s modelling team in Melbourne and was an Assistant Director in their strategic valuations team in London. Liam has also worked for and assisted various other Australian modelling companies, including BPM, Corality, Navigator Project Finance, PKF and SumProduct. Liam is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAEW), a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Management Accountants (CIMA) and a professional mathematician.
Lynne Hayward

Lynne Hayward

Lynne has more than 25 years’ experience as a facilitator throughout Australia, Asia and Europe. She started her career as an accountant for the Australian Taxation Office before becoming an Accounting teacher and later Head of the Training & Development Unit at Moorabbin TAFE. Lynne specialises in the areas of communication, management, leadership, training the trainer, writing skills and presentation skills.
Kevin Riley

Kevin Riley

Kevin has more than 30 years’ experience in financial and performance management and budgeting, and more than 20 years’ in designing and delivering training programs in finance, strategy and management. He is experienced in adult learning principles, consultation, facilitation and presentation techniques, and is a well-regarded and respected adviser and coach in strategic planning, financial management and the implementation of plans within organisations.
