Mentor the Treasurer

Content Summary

About the program

Through this unique program, qualified CPA Australia members volunteer time and expertise to mentor treasurers of small not-for-profit (NFP) organisations. Mentors can build and broaden their skillsets and networks, gaining valuable insights into different NFP organisations and activities.

Participation for our NFP mentees offers treasurers the opportunity to benefit from CPA Australia members’ professional support and guidance. This  enables you to gain new skills and knowledge to fulfill the requirements of the treasurer role.

If a mentee organisation already employs a CPA Australia member as their treasurer but still require access to the mentoring tools, you may apply to gain access. Assistance and mentoring under the Mentor the Treasurer program is free.

To participate as a mentor, you must:

  • be a current member of CPA Australia, with CPA or FCPA status
  • be fully covered by professional indemnity insurance.

To qualify for support under the CPA Australia Mentor the Treasurer program, your NFP organisation must:

  • be an Australian based not-for-profit organisation
  • have an annual gross turnover from all sources of less than $250,000.
