Overview
The new Managing Cash Flows suite has five modules, each covering a separate area of cash flow management. All modules are based on a central case study relating to Mobitel, a fictional Australian telecommunications company with a customer base in both Australia and New Zealand.
Module 1, Managing Operating Cash Flows, covers one of the most important aspects of managing an organisation cash flow management. This course provides details about a number of key cash flow drivers, including sales growth, gross margin, operating expense, accounts receivable, inventory, accounts payable and capital expenditure. To help you improve your writing skills, this course also provides access to our Effective Business Writing course.
Module 2, Cash Budgeting and Forecasting, covers the importance of effective cash flow management to determine budgeted inflows and outflows, and explores the external and internal factors that influence an organisations cash flows when developing the budget. The course also shows how to develop cash flow forecasts and identify the key steps to developing a robust cash flow forecasting model.
Module 3, Credit Policy Changes on Cash Flows, covers managing credit risk, assessing changes in credit policy and identifying credit management strategies to improve cash flows. The course demonstrates the process, tools and reports that management employ to minimise credit risk to an acceptable level and the impact of credit sales and trade terms on the operating cash flows of the business.
Module 4, Investment Decisions on Cash Flows, covers the investment decision process, the capital budgeting process and the opportunities and risks involved in major project investment.
Module 5, Capital Structure, Debt and Equity on Cash Flows, covers one of the most important aspects of managing an organisation how a company finances its operations and activities, known as its capital structure.
Modules have been designed to work as part of a suite or standalone and therefore can be completed in any order. Each module consists of one online course, a downloadable PDF learning manual and one online assessment.
