You will be exposed to ways of evaluating reporting practices and will see how internal reporting processes are used. You will also be shown approaches that enable you to integrate functional and technical processes and understand the very important social aspects of process integration.
This course covers six key areas:
- Overview of internal reporting.
- Linking internal reporting processes to strategy.
- Identifying critical success factors and performance measures.
- Setting benchmarks and performance targets.
- Combining measures into an overarching internal reporting process.
- Designing and implementing an integrated internal reporting process.
After first considering the role, purpose and limitations of internal reporting, we focus on achieving organisational alignment and clarity, by linking internal reporting to strategy.
This course will assist you to gain a clear picture of the strategy and direction of an organisation, after which it is possible to considering the design of the strategic performance measurement system, which involves creating performance measures and linking them together.
