Overview
This workshop provides Directors and finance professionals with practical guidance on impairment assessments in accordance with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) Financial Reporting Practice Guidance No. 1 of 2025. You will learn to identify impairment indicators, validate key assumptions, and enhance disclosures when reviewing financial statements. The course emphasises critical evaluation of valuation reports and assumptions to ensure compliance with International Accounting Standard (IAS) 36 and realistic valuation outcomes.

Ong Woon Pheng
Mr. Ong Woon Pheng is Director at Nexia Singapore PAC, a leading accounting firm, where he heads Financial Advisory Services. Formerly Director at PKF-CAP Advisory Partners, he brings over 20 years of experience in accounting and finance.
His expertise includes business valuation, intangible asset valuation, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) compliance, due diligence, forensic accounting, fraud investigation, and litigation support.
He speaks at conferences organised by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC), and Singapore Academy of Law. Woon Pheng also conducts Continuing Professional Education workshops and lectures on corporate finance and valuation at Singapore University of Social Sciences and Murdoch University.
