This five-module session equips public accountants, auditors, corporate service providers, and firm leadership to use AI safely and defensibly. It covers how AI actually works, the six practical risks (including hallucination), global and Singapore-specific regulatory frameworks (EU AI Act, PDPC Model AI Governance Framework, MAS FEAT, ISCA EP 100/200), how bias enters AI systems through real-world case studies (Amazon, COMPAS, Apple Card, UK A-levels, Dutch childcare scandal), and how these principles apply to real practice scenarios and cautionary tales (Deloitte Australia, Mata v. Avianca, Samsung, Air Canada). It closes with a practical governance toolkit: risk assessment gates, vendor due diligence, acceptable-use policy, and incident response.
