Apply for a New Zealand skills assessment

Assessment fees 

We’ve identified a recent issue impacting some application fee payments since 24 July 2023. As a result, the Goods and Services Tax (GST) may be incorrectly applied to payments for new applications submitted by third parties located in Australia, on behalf of applicants residing overseas.

Our team is working swiftly on a solution. In the meantime, any GST amount incorrectly applied will be refunded. If you have recently submitted a skills assessment application as a third party and have been impacted by this issue, we will be in contact with you shortly to refund the GST amount. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

Refunds

If the application is withdrawn prior to any work being done, an administration fee will apply. A refund of the assessment fee will not be issued if any preliminary work has commenced.

If you have applied for a Fast Track application, we aim to complete your application within the advertised processing time, but the Fast Track application period will only commence once we have received all the required documents and payment to satisfy the application requirements. If the processing time is outside the advertised timeframe, the difference between the fast track fee and the standard assessment fee may be refunded.
