Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants

The following steps demonstrate the pathway for members of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) to become a CPA member of CPA Australia under the conditions of the mutual recognition agreement.


Step 1: Determine eligibility

If you are a full member of ISCA, you are eligible to apply for CPA Australia membership if you:

• are a member of good standing with ISCA and not under investigation for professional conduct infringements

• did not gain entry to membership with ISCA through any other mutual recognition agreement

• have successfully completed:
– the ISCA professional examination
– the ISCA practical experience requirement


• hold an ISCA-recognised university degree that fulfils CPA Australia required knowledge areas


• hold a university degree recognised by the Australian Government Department of Education and Training as equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree and fulfils CPA Australia required knowledge areas (this will be determined during the verification of your application)

step 2: Complete application

Complete the online application and submit with the required documentation, including your application and membership fee. Ensure you nominate the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) as the professional body with whom you hold membership.


Your application and information supplied will take approximately 10 to 15 working days to verify. Upon completion, an email will be sent to you informing you of your assessment outcome.
