The 2017 Plan Your Own Enterprise (PYOE) competition winners have been announced at a special event at CPA Australia’s Melbourne office.

PYOE invites students to devise a business idea and create a plan to turn their concept into a financially viable enterprise. The competition helps students to develop problem solving skills and encourages them to apply their business studies learnings in a creative environment.

More than 1300 entries were received from across Australia. Jessica Lauc from Merici College in the ACT won the individual category with 'Leadz' – an innovative range of dog leads which include storage compartments for tidy bags and treats.

The group category was awarded to students from Hopetoun P-12 College in Victoria for Mallee Sports and Rec, an outdoor and sporting equipment store in their local area.

Congratulations to all the winners and finalists.
