Congratulations to the 2019 office bearers:

The Council is responsible for serving and representing the interests of members in Greater China. They are focused on member engagement and advocacy of the CPA Australia brand, working in conjunction with the broad aims and activities of the CPA Australia Board of Directors and the organisational corporate plan.

The role of the Council is to: 

  • contribute ideas towards the strategy and direction of CPA Australia for the benefit of all its members
  • assist in the establishment and delivery of local operational strategies to meet key operating objectives of the CPA Australia Corporate Plan
  • contribute towards the effective representation of all members in Greater China
  • promote the skills, qualifications and professionalism of members
  • discharge the responsibilities of the council as contained in the constitution or otherwise delegated by the CPA Australia Board of Directors from time to time.

Roy Lo

Roy Lo FCPA (Aust.) – President

Managing Partner, SHINEWING (HK) CPA Limited

Sector: Public practice

Roy is responsible for various auditing and IPO projects at SHINEWING. He has extensive experience in auditing, business merging and acquisitions, business appraisal, profit anticipation and listing arrangement for more than 20 years, and is familiar with the operations and regulations of different industries. He also possesses profound experience in internal control and risk management.

Janssen Chan

Janssen Chan FCPA (Aust.) – Deputy President

Sector: Business consulting

Janssen has been specialising in Hong Kong tax and China tax since 1990s. He has extensive practical experience and knowledge in providing tax and business advisory services to multi-national corporations in various business sectors. His professional experience includes corporate and individual income tax planning, tax due diligence/health check, cross-border tax advisory, international tax issues, IPO related tax assistance and entry strategies.

Anthony Lau

Anthony Lau FCPA (Aust.) – Deputy President

Partner, Tax & Business Advisory Services, International Tax, Deloitte China

Sector: Corporate

Anthony is an International Tax Partner and the Hong Kong Investment Management Sector Leader at Deloitte China. He regularly advises clients on international tax issues associated with mergers and acquisitions, inbound and outbound investment, group restructuring and other cross-border transactions involving Hong Kong, Mainland China and other Asia-Pacific countries.

Ivan Au

Ivan Au FCPA (Aust.) – Councillor

Assurance Partner, PwC

Sector: Corporate

Ivan has more than 15 years of accounting and assurance related experience, particularly in leading global audit and assurance projects relating to initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and Chinese outbound investments. His clientele is mainly in the retail and consumer sector.

Bong Chan FCPA (Aust.) – Councillor

Partner, Clients, Industries & Markets, Deloitte China

Sector: Corporate

Bong serves a portfolio of clients from listed companies, large multinational companies and large mainland enterprises engaged in technology, media and telecommunications and the customer business industry. He is an expert in Hong Kong IPO exercise and has strong connections with bankers, lawyers and PE/VCs. He also takes the lead to drive marketing development for Deloitte in Southern China.

Jeffery Chan

Jeffrey Chan FCPA (Aust.) – Councillor

Jeffrey has more than 25 years of corporate experience in finance and business in the Asia-Pacific and has proven strategic leadership in corporate planning, expansion, restructuring, financing and controlling to be shared with members.

Vickie Fan FCPA (Aust.) – Councillor

Managing Partner, Fan, Chan & Co

Sector: Public practice

As the managing partner of Fan, Chan & Co., member firm of Nexia International, Vickie oversees the firm’s audit, tax and advisory departments in Hong Kong and Mainland China. She has more than 15 years of experience in IFRS audits, financial and tax due diligence review for merger and acquisition, corporate advisory, and formation and restructuring of foreign direct investments in China.

Paul Ho

Paul Ho FCPA (Aust.) – Councillor

Partner, Financial Services Tax, Ernst & Young Tax Services Limited

Sector: Corporate

Paul has more than 15 years of experience in taxation. He advises on all aspects of corporate tax issues associated with financial services clients ranging from banking and capital markets, asset management to insurance. He also delivers cross border corporate tax advisory and compliance services to multinational clients.

John Lo

John Lo FCPA (Aust.) – Councillor

Chief Financial Officer, Tencent Group

Sector: Corporate

John Shek Hon Lo joined Tencent Group in 2004 and served as Chief Financial Officer since May 2012. Prior to joining Tencent Group, Mr Lo worked in PricewaterhouseCoopers as Senior Manager (audit services). Mr Lo has an EMBA from Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University and HKUST.

Grace Ng

Grace Ng CPA (Aust.) – Councillor

CFO and Director, S.F. Holding Co., Ltd.

Sector: Corporate

Grace is responsible for SF Group’s corporate governance and financial management, including treasury, corporate finance, reporting, tax, financial planning and budgeting. Previously, she was with KPMG HK office for 19 years and has extensive experience in leading and managing audit and IPO engagements in the transportation and logistics and consumer market sectors.

Wilson Pang

Wilson Pang FCPA (Aust.) – Councillor

Head of Turnaround, Restructuring Services, China; Head of Portfolio Solutions Group, China & Asia Pacific, KPMG

Sector: Corporate

Wilson specialises in turnaround, restructuring, special situations and investment practice. He runs Chinese enterprise’s restructuring and reform assignments and provides credit and risk advisory solutions to international and local Chinese banks to deal with distressed, overdue and non-performing loans. Wilson has more than 20 years of solid experience in China investment opportunities, including private equity, pre-IPO advisory and special situations investment.

Ronald Yam

Ronald Yam FCPA (Aust.) – Councillor

Ronald is a partner at RSM Hong Kong. With more than 35 years of experience in accounting, he has served as the partner-in-charge on several Initial Public Offering exercises in Hong Kong and Singapore. Ronald specialises in auditing, taxation and management consultancy and has been engaging in handling tax investigation assignments.
