CPA Australia appoints President and Directors to the Board

- Two directors reappointed and one new director elected to the Board
- Dale Pinto FCPA re-elected as President and Chair of the Board
- Warren McRae FCPA and Louise Cox FCPA re-elected as Deputy Presidents
CPA Australia is pleased to announce the re-appointment of two current directors and the election of one new director to the board, as well as the election of a President and Chair and two Deputy Presidents.
Dale Pinto FCPA, John Curtin Distinguished Professor, has been re-elected as President and Chair of the Board for another 12-month term. Warren McRae FCPA and Louise Cox FCPA have been re-elected as Deputy Presidents for the same period.
Louise Cox FCPA and Bernard Che-Wai Poon FCPA (Aust.) have been re-appointed to the Board of Directors for three-year terms effective from 1 October 2025. Director-elect Carmen Wee will join the board upon completion of the necessary regulatory processes.
- Louise Cox FCPA has been a director at CPA Australia since 2019, including Deputy President since 2023. She is a respected accountant and lawyer with more than 30 years’ experience as a Chief Executive Officer, Chief Finance Officer and Non-Executive Director across the legal, accounting, architecture, education and mental health sectors.
- Bernard Che-Wai Poon FCPA (Aust.) has been a director at CPA Australia since 2021. He is a Partner at Ernst & Young specialising in valuations and financial modelling with experience in merger and acquisition, financial due diligence, auditing, training and development.
- Carmen Wee is the Founder and CEO of HR Advisory Services firm Carmen Wee & Associates. She is an experienced Board Member spanning commercial, government, academia and public institutions in Singapore, US and the UK and has 25 years of international business experience, driving large-scale business transformation and change management.
The Appointments Council, comprising members of CPA Australia's Divisional Councils, made the selections in accordance with CPA Australia's Constitution.
“I am truly honoured and humbled to have been re-elected as President and Chair of CPA Australia. It is a genuine privilege to continue serving our members in this capacity for another 12 months,” said Professor Pinto.
“I would also like to congratulate Warren McRae and Louise Cox on their re-election as Deputy Presidents for the coming year. I look forward to working closely with them and our fellow directors as we strive together to deliver even greater value to all members of CPA Australia.
“We warmly congratulate Louise Cox and Bernard Che-Wai Poon on their re-appointment for a three-year term, and we look forward to welcoming Carmen Wee, who will join the board as a new director once the regulatory steps are completed.”
Bryan Chung FCPA (Aust.) has retired from the Board, effective from 30 September 2025 after completing a three-year term.
“Bryan made valuable contributions to the Board and its subcommittees during his tenure. I’d like to express my deepest thanks to Bryan for his significant contributions as a director and for his dedication to the members of CPA Australia,” said Prof. Pinto.
