CPA Australia appoints President, Deputy Presidents and Directors to the Board
- Warren McRae FCPA elected as President and Chair of the Board
- Louise Cox FCPA and Julie Crisp FCPA elected as Deputy Presidents
- Two directors reappointed and two new directors elected to the Board
CPA Australia today announced the election of a new President and Chair, along with two Deputy Presidents. It also confirmed the reappointment of two directors and the election of two new directors to the Board.
Warren McRae FCPA has been elected as President and Chair of the Board. He has served as Deputy President and Chair of CPA Australia’s Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee for the past four years.
Louise Cox FCPA and Julie Crisp FCPA have been elected as Deputy Presidents. Louise has served as Deputy President for the past three years, while Julie has been a Director since 2024.
Warren, Louise and Julie bring extensive leadership experience, deep professional expertise and a strong commitment to CPA Australia and its members. Each of these appointments is for 12 months from 1 October 2026.
Dale Pinto FCPA completed a successful three-year term as President and Chair this year and will continue to serve on the Board as a director until 30 September 2027, when he will reach the maximum nine-year term.
Sarah Adam-Gedge and Anthony Wright have been reappointed to the Board as non-member directors, while Professor Mark Brimble FCPA and Erica Haddon FCPA have been elected as new members of the Board. Each of these appointments is for a three-year term effective from 1 October 2026.
The Appointments Council, comprising members of CPA Australia's Divisional Councils, made the selections in accordance with CPA Australia's Constitution.
Incoming President and Chair Warren McRae FCPA said he was honoured to take on the role and looked forward to working with the Board to deliver value for members.
“It is a tremendous honour to be elected President and Chair of CPA Australia and to serve our community of more than 176,000 members around the world,” said Mr McRae.
“I am excited about the opportunities ahead and look forward to engaging with members over the coming year.
“I congratulate Louise Cox FCPA and Julie Crisp FCPA on their election as Deputy Presidents for the coming year, and I thank our Immediate Past President, Professor Dale Pinto FCPA, for his strong leadership over the past three years. I am also pleased that Dale will continue to serve on the Board for another year.
“I look forward to continuing to work with them and our fellow directors as we strive to deliver even greater value for CPA Australia members and strengthen our global community of finance and accounting professionals.
“I also warmly congratulate Anthony Wright and Sarah Adam-Gedge on their reappointment for a further three-year term, and welcome Professor Mark Brimble and Erica Haddon to the Board as directors. Each brings a unique and diverse skill set that will strengthen our organisation.
“Anna Quinn FCPA and Kaushika Jayalath CPA retired from the Board on 30 September 2026 following the completion of their three-year terms. Anna and Kaushika have made significant contributions to the Board and its committees during their terms, and I extend my sincere thanks for their service, dedication and commitment on behalf of CPA Australia members,” Mr McRae said.
