- Article 36(a) by having “committed, participated in or been involved with an Adverse Event” as defined in Article 76(h) in that he “became the subject of a final adverse finding in relation to the Member's conduct, competence or recognition by any Court, professional body, statutory or other regulatory authority in any jurisdiction;” with respect to the Australian Securities Investments Commission (ASIC) permanently disqualifying him as an SMSF Auditor on 19 February 2024.
Mr Islam did not attend the Disciplinary Tribunal Hearing and denial of the complaint was entered on his behalf.
Penalty and Costs:
The Disciplinary Tribunal found the Complaint sustained and imposed the following penalties:
- A Forfeiture of membership for three years.
- A Fine of $3,000.00.
The Member was ordered to pay CPA Australia’s costs of $10,355.00.
