On 11 June 2025, the Disciplinary Tribunal found Mr Eider Henriquez breached CPA Australia’s 11 May 2022 Constitution:
- Article 36(a), in that he had ”committed, participated in or been involved with an Adverse Event.” as defined in Article 76(i) of the Constitution as having “pleaded guilty to, or was found guilty of (either without conviction or with a final conviction), any offence (criminal or otherwise, but excluding any offence relating to traffic infringement) before any Court in any jurisdiction, which in the Board’s reasonable opinion, is likely to have a material adverse effect on the Company’s standing or reputation;” in that he pleaded guilty to and was given a custodial sentence on 8 November 2024 in respect of 4 offences of obtaining financial advantage by deception, and 2 offences of attempted obtaining a financial advantage by deception, in the County Court of Victoria in relation to a total sum of $1,733,342.75.
Mr Eider Henriquez did not attend the Disciplinary Tribunal Hearing and a denial of the complaint was entered on his behalf.
Penalty and Costs:
The Disciplinary Tribunal found the Complaint sustained and imposed the following penalties:
- Forfeiture of membership, not eligible for readmission.
- A Fine of $50,000.
The Member was ordered to pay CPA Australia’s costs of $ 11,717.00.
