On 12 August 2025 the Disciplinary Tribunal found Mr Abdul Khan breached CPA Australia’s 11 May 2022 Constitution (“the Constitution”) Article 36(a) in that he had “committed, participated in or been involved with an Adverse Event” as defined in:
- Article 76(i) of the Constitution by pleading guilty to two criminal charges in the New Zealand District Court.
Mr Abdul Khan attended the Disciplinary Tribunal Hearing and admitted the Complaint.
Penalty and Costs:
The Disciplinary Tribunal found the Complaint sustained and imposed the following penalties:
- Forfeiture of Membership, not eligible for readmission until 12 August 2028.
- At the expiration of the period of forfeiture, should the member apply for readmission, he must first provide evidence to the satisfaction of the General Manager Professional Conduct that he has not committed an offence (criminal or otherwise but excluding any offence relating to traffic infringement) before any Court in any jurisdiction during the period of forfeiture.
Mr Khan was ordered to pay CPA Australia’s costs of A$8,545.00.
