Exam overview

Some 20,000 candidates enrolled for 26,272 segment examinations in Semester 2, 2007. Examinations were held between 25 October and 9 November 2007 at 235 centres, both in Australia and overseas.

For most segments, candidates were required to score between 60 and 65 per cent to achieve a pass grade. Performance levels required for grades higher than a pass were determined using the standard deviation for each segment.

Examination Results: All candidates were able to access their individual results on a password protected site linked to CPA Australia's website and via SMS. Official result statements were mailed to all candidates early January.

All candidates will be able to access their individual diagnostic report. This report clearly distinguishes the topics on which a particular candidate performed poorly and is thus a helpful guide to CPA Program enrollees on how to improve their examination performance. CPA Australia education and training staff are available to assist candidates in selecting segments and reviewing study and examination techniques.

Merit Certificates: Candidates who achieve high distinctions are issued a special merit certificate in recognition of their achievement.
