Workforce reaps benefits in Malaysia

The financial success of Malaysian organisations during 2007 and a new desire to share profits with employees have been the main drivers behind an estimated 5.6 per cent average salary increase across the professions. According to Watson Wyatt’s Total rewards survey for 2007, key employee benefits in Malaysia were also found to be improving. An additional 42 per cent of the surveyed organisations were noted as providing supplementary retirement plans to their employees.
