Financial Advisory Services CoE

Financial Advisory Centre of Excellence (CoE) members will assist CPA Australia identify key issues facing members within the industry.

Financial services relates to the many roles our members have in this industry, including the advice role encapsulated in the financial planning and superannuation advice roles. The financial services area incorporates managed funds, superannuation, financial planning, economic issues and regulatory issues for the industry.

This is a key area in which CPA Australia is working to represent and provide thought leadership for our members.

Objective of the CoE

The CoE will assist CPA Australia to achieve its strategic objectives through:

  • thought leadership
  • advocacy and representation
  • supporting key areas
  • providing or identifying appropriate relationships

Areas of interest

The focus of the Financial Advisory Services CoE is on all aspects of matters that are relevant in financial planning including:

  • financial planning
  • superannuation
  • funds management

Background and experience

Examples of fields from which members may be drawn include:

  • industry consultants
  • senior management of large corporations
  • public sector representative involved in superannuation and financial planning
  • financial planner owner/managers
  • academics specialising in financial planning

Representation

In appointing members to represent the Centre of Excellence we look for a cross-section of members from:

  • corporate
  • public sector
  • public practice – small & micro
  • business advisers and consultants
  • academics
  • not-for-profit organisations
