Duration of course: One semester unit and a three-day residential program
Minimum experience required: Three years experience in a public practice office or three years experience in a public practice area providing member joins an experienced firm or five years in a responsible position -refer to By-Law 704.1(d)
Other requirements:
CPA status
a pass in the CPA taxation segment
be a principal in public practice
hold professional indemnity insurance as specified in By-Law 705.2
conduct trust account audits
make a commitment to undertake at least 120 structured hours of continuing professional development per triennium (minimum 20 hours per year)
