CPA Australia has developed a set of guidelines for members advising on financial issues associated with aged care.

The guidance note addresses:

• the complexities and specialist information required in the area
• accommodation options and issues relating to fees
• advice members can provide regarding aged care if they are not acting under an Australian Financial Services License (AFSL)
• the legal requirements for providing advice for members who are acting under an AFSL
