CPA Australia has a mutual recognition agreement (MRA) with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and The National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) to establish guidelines on how qualified members can gain reciprocal membership.
US qualified CPAs can be eligible to join CPA Australia, and members of CPA Australia can be eligible to apply to sit the international qualification exam (IQEX), which in turn will allow them to apply for a licence in one of the 55 jurisdictions in the US.
