The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy
In June 2007 the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) and CPA Australia entered into a Mutual Recognition Agreement to further develop the relationship between the two bodies and establish guidelines on how qualified members can gain reciprocal membership.
CPA and FCPA members of CPA Australia can be eligible to join CIPFA and use the designatory letters CPFA. Full members of CIPFA can be eligible to join CPA Australia and use the designatory letters CPA.
Pathways to membership
The CIPFA website demonstrates the pathway for CPA Australia members to become CIPFA members under the conditions of the MRA in the status of Charter Public Finance Accountant Practising Accountant and use the designatory letters CPFA.
