CPA Australia's recognition of ICPAS members

The following summarises the general details of the agreement. In all cases, admission to membership is subject to confirmation by the respective parties, CPA Australia and the Institute of CPA Singapore.

(a) ICPAS members who hold a CPA Australia accredited degree shall be eligible for admission to Associate membership of CPA Australia.

(b) ICPAS members who:

  1. hold a degree delivered and examined in English, which is recognised by the Australian Government National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (NOOSR) but which is not accredited by CPA Australia; and
  2. fulfill CPA Australia's core competency requirement equivalent to an accredited degree; and
  3. fulfill all CPA Australia's admission criteria.

shall be eligible to apply for an overseas assessment for membership of CPA Australia to determine their eligibility for admission to Associate membership of CPA Australia.

(c) Associate members admitted in accordance with the provisions in (a) and (b) may advance to CPA status upon completion of the CPA Program and the 3 years practical experience Mentor Program.

(d) ICPAS members who hold a university degree recognised by CPA Australia in accordance with (a) and (b) above or recognised by ICPAS and have completed the ICPAS Professional Program shall be admitted to CPA Australia at CPA status subject to satisfying the relevant mentored work experience program recognised by CPA Australia.
