Research into TBL reporting

CPA Australia's first initiative was to investigate TBL assurance practices in organisations worldwide.

The project 'Triple bottom line - a study of assurance statements worldwide' has resulted in a database of over 160 companies that release TBL reports accompanied with assurance statements. The database is a resource to assist in the application of TBL reporting and assurance practices. The research was conducted in conjunction with RMIT University and is accompanied by a report.

This research aims to provide a better understanding of the differences in assurance statements as well as the value placed on TBL principles by both stakeholders and users.

Sustainability and TBL strategy

CPA Australia is embarking on a strategic project that includes:

  • research, analysis and development of standards and guidelines for TBL reporting
  • implementation of TBL reporting within CPA Australia
  • research project on the market impact of the adoption of TBL reporting

Sponsorship of TBL Award

For this year's World Environment Day Awards, CPA Australia is sponsoring the Triple Bottom Line Award for environmental, social and commercial best practice program for business.
