The Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) reviewed listed entities' reporting against the ASX corporate governance council's principles and recommendations. The review, Analysis of corporate governance disclosures practices in 2007 annual reports, showed an improvement in the corporate governance reporting.

The ASX's analysis was based on the financial year ended 30 June 2007 annual reports of 1291 listed entities.

This sample represented approximately 67 per cent of all listed entities at that time.
