Twenty events will be hosted by CPA Australia next month as part of Energise Enterprise 08 Victoria's small business festival.
The festival, now in its third year, is presented by the Victorian Government and will run from Friday 1 to Saturday 31 August at venues across metropolitan and regional Victoria.
All CPA Australia events are low cost, with some having a gold coin donation entry. Sessions are being run in metropolitan Melbourne, Geelong and Mildura, with CPA Australia also sponsoring the festival's flagship speed networking events in Melbourne and Ballarat.
In metropolitan Melbourne alone, there are 361,000 small and medium enterprises, as well as almost 5,000 in Sunraysia and over 15,000 in Geelong, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics 2007 Counts of Australian businesses.
According to Jeremy Seward CPA, This number is continuously growing due to the number of people who want to take the plunge and become a business owner / operator. The festival will offer a number of opportunities for small businesses to be inspired, informed and improve their management skills.
