DHL International and the South China Morning Post (SCMP) are once again presenting the 2008 Hong Kong Business Awards (HKBA) recognising corporate management and governance in the Hong Kong area with CPA Australia acting as honorary advisor to the prestigious event.
First started in 1990, the annual business awards scheme publicly acknowledges individual or company contribution to maintaining and expanding economic viability and international stature in the Hong Kong and Pearl River Delta areas.
Encouraging the regions entrepreneurial spirit and growth, HKBA aims to recognise the continued standard of excellence in corporate management and governance.
HKBA helps small businesses enrich their credibility through media exposure such as in-depth profiling in the sponsor publication, SCMP, as well as television coverage of the awards night. It is an opportunity to challenge and improve company operations while boosting company morale and recognising individual achievements.
Last years honourees include international award winner Media Asia Entertainment Group Limited, executive award winner Tom Mehrmann, chief executive, Ocean Park Corporation and Eric Wong, chairman and CEO, Richburg Corporation Limited, winner of the young entrepreneur award.
The deadline for entries is Monday 8 September. Nominees must be Hong Kong residents and companies registered in Hong Kong or Pearl River Delta. A full copy of the HKBA 2008 rulebook is available at our CPA Australia Hong Kong China division office.
