Practical governance: corporate risk

The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries (HKICS) will host its sixth biennial Corporate Governance Conference, ‘Practical governance: corporate risk’, on 12 and 13 September 2008, at the JW Marriott Hotel, Hong Kong.

Patrick Yeung, chairman of the CPA Australia Financial Reporting and Corporate Governance Committee, will be one of many expert panellists to attend the event with HKICS also offering CPA Australia members a 10 per cent discount on all tickets to the major international conference.

Guest keynote speaker for the event is Professor KC Chan, SBS, JP, secretary for financial services and treasury, government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. In addition, an extensive range of world renowned industry experts will also be in attendance including esteemed professors, CEOs, chairmen, members of government departments, secretary generals and senior directors of various prestigious organisations, corporations and universities.
