The 'Risk management as the foundation of your quality assurance' forum will cover the requirements for quality assurance, risk management under APES 320 Quality control for firms and real world applications as part of the 2008 Public Practice Series to be held in Sydney.

Compliance with RMS1 Risk management statement and APES 320 is mandatory for all members who provide accounting, technical and other professional services to the public, whether such services are assurance or non-assurance engagements.

Major risk areas addressed will include:

• inability to service clients due to workload
• legal action against firm by client
• servicing an unethical or litigious client
