Members are invited to attend 'Avoiding insolvency', a session designed for public practitioners who wish to gain insight into a range of issues relating to the prevention and management of insolvency.

'Avoiding insolvency' is the first session of the 2008 Public Practice Series and will be held on Wednesday 23 July from 5.45 pm – 8.00 pm at Sunnybrook Hotel, 355 Hume Highway, Warwick Farm.

Key note speaker Schon Condon FCPA, the managing principal of Condon Associates, will deliver practical guidance on how to maximise the recovery and maintenance of value.

This event will also suit those who are serious about the preservation of wealth.

Other events in the 2008 Public Practice Series include 'Paperwork for self managed super funds (SMSF)', which is being held on Thursday 14 August in Baulkham Hills. Superannuation expert Mark Wilkinson will be speaking on the procedures you can follow to maximise the benefits of a SMSF.

The third event, held on Monday 22 September at the CPA Centre, will examine 'Risk management as the foundation of your quality assurance'. Key note speaker Richard Ashcroft FCPA from The Business Strategist will review the requirements for quality assurance and risk management and discuss how this can be practically applied.

The cost to attend each event is $20.00 for members and $35.00 for non-members and each includes a light supper.
