Asian regional conference: Kuala Lumpur

The CPA Australia 12th Asian Regional Conference, in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday 5 and Wednesday 6 August, will follow the theme 'Changing landscapes: be in the forefront'.

Discussions will focus on thought-leadership and disciplines affecting accountants and business leaders today, and how this can help them be at the forefront of a constantly changing business environment.

Sessions include a:

  • panel discussion on how the global business arena has changed, and its effect on the way business is done
  • panel discussion with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants president, Encik Nik Mohd Hasyudeen Yusoff, on the changing accounting profession
  • case study on Digi Telecommunications from their head of human resources, Adzhar Ibrahim, about the company's current human resources strategies and challenges
  • light-hearted but deeply instructive session on the latest leadership and management concepts from Dr Andrew Goh from Singapore

The conference secretariat is currently awaiting confirmation from the second minister of finance, The Honourable Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop, to officiate the conference.

Register and pay before Monday 30 June to receive the early bird rate.

Conference sponsors include Commerce Clearing House (CCH) as gold sponsor, and Sunway University College, Permodalan Nasional Berhad and PricewaterhouseCoopers as silver sponsors.
