The Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) requested the Allen Consulting Group to conduct a stakeholder survey, ASIC strategic review, and gather views on:
the environment in which ASIC will carry out regulatory responsibilities over the next three-to-five years
how stakeholders currently perceive ASIC and its performance
what stakeholders expect of ASIC in the future
In May 2008, ASIC released the results of the survey which has shaped its strategic review. From the external inputs, ASIC has decided on some key changes.
