Better practice in governance and accounting

‘Better practice in governance and accounting’ will provide you with an understanding of your role in governance in both an individual and holistic sense.

This program — which is available as a CD-ROM or online — consists of five modules, which can be completed separately.

Module 1: Governance frameworks and emerging issues

This module considers corporate governance, frameworks, leadership and ethics, and Sarbanes-Oxley.

Module 2: Directors’ duties

This module looks at organisational frameworks for directors as well as the duties and responsibilities of directors.

Module 3: Governance and management of risk

This module examines risk management and corporate governance, recognising and managing risk, reporting on risk, checklists and risk profiles.

Module 4: Control and assurance

This module covers internal control frameworks, audit committee role and charter as well as audit independence.

Module 5: Benchmarking and reporting

This module deals with reporting and benchmarking of corporate governance.
