Candidates must complete the CPA Program professional level segments and practical work experience requirements in order to advance to CPA status. The enrolment regulations also list the time frame in which candidates must advance to CPA status, based on the date they joined CPA Australia.

Segment enrolment fees and deferral fees are not subject to the Australian goods and services tax (GST) because the CPA Program professional level is a GST-free education course.
