After your member entry pathway assessment application has been processed, and you have been accepted into the CPA Program as a foundation level candidate, you may then enrol for an exam. There are three steps to enrolment in the foundation level exams you must follow in each enrolment period.
Please note the following:
- find out if there is a foundation level exam centre in a location you are able to travel to
- you are encouraged to schedule your exams as soon as possible as there are limited seats in some locations
- if your exam location preference is not available, phone the Pearson VUE call centre directly to see if there is another location near you. You should be prepared to travel to a centre where a seat is available
There are three steps to enrol and schedule your exam(s).
- Enrol for your exam with CPA Australia either online or via enrolment form. When you receive your confirmation of enrolment from CPA Australia you will then be able to schedule your exam with Pearson VUE.
- Register with Pearson VUE: After enrolling with CPA Australia for the first time for a foundation level exam, you will receive a username and password via email from Pearson VUE (you may receive this email up to 2 hours after you enrol with CPA Australia). You will then need to complete registration on the web by going to the VUE website and signing in.
Note: if you have already registered with Pearson VUE for a previous semester, you can use your same username and password details to schedule your exams. - Schedule your exam with Pearson VUE: Once you have completed your registration you can schedule exams, re-schedule exams (exam date, location and session start time) and view your exam history on the web. There will be multiple exams times available for candidates within the exam period. Candidates can book into any session that is available during the exam period at a particular exam centre.
You will be sent an exam confirmation booking email notification soon after you book your appointment with Pearson VUE. The email confirms the date, location and time of the exams, as well as information about exam regulations, administrative procedures including check-in requirements, testing procedures and the structure of the exams.
It is your responsibility to ensure you schedule your exams with Pearson VUE by the published closing date. It is vital that you take action as soon as you receive your enrolment confirmation letter from CPA Australia as there are limited places in some exam centres.
You will not be permitted to schedule your exams until you receive your enrolment confirmation letter from CPA Australia.
Note: You can schedule your exams with Pearson VUE via their website or via the phone. For contact details, contact Pearson VUE. If you are having difficulties registering or scheduling, you may need to wait until 2 hours has passed after your initial enrolment with CPA Australia.
There will be specific timelines you must adhere to for enrolment, registration and scheduling of exams refer to foundation level fees and important dates
Based on demand, we may consider opening additional centres in future semesters. If you would like to suggest an alternate exam location for our future consideration that is not available on the list, please email your suggestions to: foundationlevel@cpaaustralia.com.au
