Enrolling for the first time
With the increased flexibility now on offer, different candidates will start CPA Program at different entry points. There is now a two-stage process for application and enrolment to the foundation level.
Stage one: applying for an assessment
To confirm your entry point, you need to apply for a membership entry pathways assessment. Online applications for assessment are available for candidates. The result of this assessment will provide you with an email confirming:
- what foundation level subjects you need to complete (if any) before becoming an Associate member
- what professional level subjects you need to complete to become a CPA
- what practical experience requirements you need to complete to become a CPA
- login details to our website
At this point, you are not yet a member – your assessment result is valid for five years, however your login details are only valid for two years. You need to either activate your foundation record or activate your associate membership within this time to make sure your record is still valid.
Stage two: activating and enrolling
Once you have received your assessment result, you will be able to log in to our website to:
- activate your account with CPA Australia
- enrol into foundation level exams
Foundation level exam enrolment load information
As a foundation candidate you may enrol in up to four exams per semester.
It is recommended that where full time employment is undertaken, a maximum of two foundation exams are attempted per semester.
Exam scheduling and registration
Upon receipt of your confirmation of enrolment letter from CPA Australia, you will be able to register yourself with Pearson VUE for your exams.
Please note the key dates to ensure you enrol and schedule your exams prior to the closing dates. You must enrol in each semester in the required enrolment periods.
