CPA Australia has produced a series of employment and industrial relations manuals specifically for the use of accounting practices and particularly for small-to-medium-sized firms.
These tools are practical, ready-to-use guides designed to assist practices in the creation, communication, accessibility and compliance of appropriate policies and procedures as required by employment and industrial relations legislation.
The tools are divided into an employers' manual and a staff manual.
Members are able to download the manuals, which are available free of charge.
Employers' manual
The employers' manual offers guides to letters of employment, terms and conditions of employment, recruitment of employees, performance appraisals, workers' compensation and termination of employment, and more.
Staff manual
The staff manual sets out how all employees are to conduct themselves and the processes which are to be followed. Employees must comply with the policies and procedures contained in the staff manual.
Letters of appointment
Letters of appointment can be used for professional and administrative staff appointments inĀ all Australian states and territories.
