New in Excel 2007 is a feature which allows you to change the width of the name box to display long-range names.
If you point to the right of the drop down arrow in the name box you will see a double-headed arrow that you can click, hold and drag left or right to change the width of the box. This allows you to use longer, more meaningful names and still be able to see the whole name.
